from white sands to white noise

Vacation's almost over. Sarasota has been very beautiful, I have pictures. No 8mm though, and all the so-called photography stores in southwest Florida seemed to think I was crazy for even asking. "You'll have to order that stuff online, you're not going to find it in stores..." Right, okay... Sometimes I forget that the bulk of this population is senior citizens -- not a lot of demand for indie-filmmaker tools, I guess.

Otherwise, some good shopping, great seafood, great ice cream, and lots of time walking the beach. It is beautiful here, believe me. I'm still pale as a sheet though.

Anyway, heading out the door now for Providence, Rhode Island. My first performance outside Canada. I'm excited and moderately well prepared!
